Kinesis Keyboards

When keying into a keyboard and using a computer is your life, you have to look after your hands. Kinesis offers an alternative keyboard that totally breaks away from the traditional keyboard shape and size. To begin with, the Kinesis completely splits the two sides and changes the positioning of the function keys. The keyboard is indented into the body of the unit in a semicircular shape, following the contours and patterns that the fingers follow in natural movement. Team the keyboard with a Contour mouse for a complete data input system offering an alternative to traditional, inadequate systems.

Kinesis also makes the Maxim Keyboard with adjustable lateral tilt and split. The unit splits upto 30 degrees and lateral tilt can be adjusted to 0, 8 or 14 degrees. Models for both iMacs and PCs.

Kinesis also make programmable keypads and footswitches that provide alternatives to traditional keyboards to bring work closer in to the body or replace the clicking motion of the mouse with foot pedal operation.

Kinesis offer a range of models, which have been recently extended to include true split keyboards that can be mounted on a chair or used on a desk. kinesis have become a true force in ergonomic input devices and Effective Ergonomics are proud to sell their products to Australians.

The Goldtouch Adjustable Keyboard

The Goldtouch Adjustable keyboard allows the user to easily adjust the two alphanumeric sections both horizontally (30°) and vertically (30°) to suit the individual's body requirements. It can reduce muscle load in some muscles by 80% compared with the activity required to operate a standard computer keyboard. It has an embedded keypad, which makes a smaller, space saving footprint and brings the mouse inside the users ergonomic comfort zone. Keys are full size, full travel tactile feedback keys with low noise key actuation. If you find that a separate numerical keypad is required, Goldtouch have produced one to integrate into the system. The Goldtouch Adjustable Keyboard can be purchased as a seperate unit, or as part of the Goldtouch Ergosuite.
