If you are looking for an alternative to the mouse, then you should consider a trackball. Basically a trackball is an upside down mouse in which the user rotates the ball rather than the body of the mouse. Trackballs are useful when there is a minimum of space available for use. The fingers are used to move the cursor around as opposed to the wrist. This may be useful in alleviating wrist problems. We have 2 ranges of trackballs, the Kensington and Logitech ranges. Both provide good quality units with varying features, which should cover most people's needs with trackballs. Both companies also make their trackballs for both Mac and IBM compatible machines.
